Description

Come and join us for a day learning all about grassland fungi with expert, Neil Barden. We will have a classroom session in the morning learning some basic information about waxcaps and other grassland fungi and head out on site for the afternoon, where we will put our newly learned knowledge to the test, searching for and identifying fungi.

Meet at Warslow Village Hall at 10 am.

Please bring lunch and suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. We will be outdoors for a few hours in the afternoon, so warm clothing, waterproofs (coat, trousers) gloves, hats etc will be essential. We will also being walking on some rough ground so please make sure you have appropriate footwear, preferably waterproof and sturdy walking boots. If you have any identification books and hand lens, you may wish to bring these too, but information will be provided and we will have a few hand lenses for people to borrow. Tea and coffee will be available.
