This is an archived website, available until June 2027. We hope it will inspire people to continue to care for and protect the South West Peak area and other landscapes. Although the South West Peak Landscape Partnership ended in June 2022, the area is within the Peak District National Park. Enquiries can be made to customer.service@peakdistrict.gov.uk

The 5-year South West Peak Landscape Partnership, 2017-2022, was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Come along to find out about the importance of archives, whether documentary, digital, or material. Learn how and why we need to select what goes into them and how we can ensure they are accessible for generations to come.

Joe Perry from the Potteries Museum will be with us in the morning and Catherine Parker Heath, SWP Cultural Heritage Officer will 'introduce' the Peeling Back the Layers archive as an example. There will plenty of time for questions to see how archiving standards and policies can be applied to your own archives, projects you are involved in or projects you would like to develop.

In the afternoon, we will do some hands on archiving work.

Lunch will be provided.
