Description

Come along and find out more about invasive plant species in the Upper Dove area and what you can do to help us control them.  The event will be focusing on the three main invasive plant species on the Dove - Himalayan balsam, Japanese knotweed and giant hogweed.  We will be discussing:

· The funding we currently have for dealing with invasive plant species;

· Where we are up to in controlling these;

· Identification and mapping;

· Planned action for this year;

· Biosecurity measures to help stop the spread.

This event is part of our 'Upstream Thinking' project funded by a Water Environment Grant from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
