Ruth Wilson is our Community Engagement Officer and is hosted by Support Staffordshire as part of the Engaging Communities project. She works with communities in the South West Peak encouraging them to engage with the variety of projects which are part of the Partnership, raising awareness of the Community Grants Scheme and supporting communities to identify and set up their own projects and groups.
Ruth has a wide range of experience in both a paid and voluntary capacity. She worked for many years managing social housing, most recently for a Housing Association that develops and manages social housing in the villages and towns of Derbyshire Dales. Her latest roles were working as an Employment Adviser as part of a partnership that supported families with complex needs and those with disabilities. She is actively involved in her local community as Trustee of High Peak Food Bank and Zink Employability and as a member of Sustainable Hayfield, a village community group that leads local projects to raise awareness of climate change issues and promote more sustainable lifestyles.
