About Emma

Emma is the Wildchild Officer hosted by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. She works to encourage children and their families to explore and adventure out into key areas across the South West Peak, building valuable and long lasting connections with the next generation and reminding families about the wonderful landscape that they have on their doorsteps.

Through wild play experiences, Forest school, training for adults, after-school clubs, volunteer inductions and contributions to larger local events; Emma links with children as young as 6 months right through to adulthood. Emma is originally from an Education background, she is a fully qualified Teacher and has taught in nursery, primary and secondary schools.

Emma lived in rural France for a time too, teaching French children English and has also worked on projects locally as a Family Learning Facilitator and on projects connecting people whose first language isn’t English and introducing them to British culture and places.

She is a certified Children’s Yoga Teacher and a firm believer in the power of nature and in preserving our wildlife for the future generations to love too.
