On Tuesday 4th September HLF visited the partnership to talk about our application, what we hope to achieve if they give us the funding, and what difference that would make. It was holiday season so many key partners couldn’t join us, however, we had partners from the Local Nature Partnership, Natural England, RSPB and the National Park there.
We had a really good visit, helped by gorgeous sunny weather showing off the stunning landscape and the purple heather.
We visited two farms near Warslow to talk about the difficulties of farming in the uplands, and were treated to a step back in time in the milking parlour with Hazel at Brownhills Farm. Despite being charged by some over-enthusiastic cows, I think that HLF enjoyed their visit to the South West Peak!
