This is an archived website, available until June 2027. We hope it will inspire people to continue to care for and protect the South West Peak area and other landscapes. Although the South West Peak Landscape Partnership ended in June 2022, the area is within the Peak District National Park. Enquiries can be made to customer.service@peakdistrict.gov.uk

The 5-year South West Peak Landscape Partnership, 2017-2022, was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Archaeology on Stage

13 July 2018

Our very own cultural heritage officer, Catherine Parker Heath, will be live on stage at Buxton Opera House as part of Buxton International Festival this Sunday (15th July) with Tony Robinson and his Time Team colleagues. In a show entitled Digging up the Past, Tony Robinson and friends will share the secrets of how the telly switched a nation on to archaeology.

Tickets are available from the Buxton Opera House website.

Catherine will be talking about what makes great archaeology in the Peak District and how volunteers are helping to uncover the secret history of the living landscape of the South West Peak.
