About the event

Ambling through meadows, following head water streams and reaching the view point of Shining Torr, this 6 mile hike will give you an insight into the conservation work we deliver beyond our boundaries.

You’ll learn about the habitat enhancement work and Natural Flood Management we have been delivering across the area through our projects such as Slowing the Flow and Glorious Grasslands. Starting at Windgather Rocks we’ll explore some exciting wildflower meadows through Dunge Valley, before ascending the gentle climb to the trig point with uninterrupted views across Cheshire and Derbyshire. The walk will then take us meandering down through the valley to Lamaload taking in some of the exciting Natural Flood Management interventions.
